Oregon State 2026 quarterback commitment Deagan Rose started his senior season on Friday night in tremendous fashion.

Looking to build on an 8-4 season last fall, Rose and the Clovis Cougars started their 2025 season with a dominant 48-0 win over Central Valley Christian. While we don’t have full stats available for Rose’s performance, we do know that the future Beaver had himself a quality night.

Rose was responsible for three touchdowns in the game, according to The Fresno Bee. One of those touchdowns was a 38-yard passing touchdown early in the fourth quarter that extended Clovis’s lead to 48-0.

Last season in 12 games, Rose completed 64.1% of his passing attempts for 2,729 yards and 26 touchdowns to 10 interceptions. For his career prior to Friday night, Rose, in 24 games played, had completed 386-of-624 passing attempts for 5,612 yards, 50 career passing touchdowns, and 21 interceptions.

Rose is Oregon State’s longest-standing 2026 commitment

Rose decided to commit to Oregon State last July, becoming the Beavers’ first commitment in the cycle at the time. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound quarterback made the early decision, choosing the Beavers over offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Arkansas, Auburn, Cal, Fresno State, Houston, Iowa State, Oregon, Pittsburgh, Utah, and Virginia Tech.

Since that commitment, multiple programs have remained interested in the Beavers’ quarterback commitment, but despite those pushes, he remains locked in with the Golden Gophers.

Here’s what we had to say about Rose in a recent scouting report.

“Rose projects as a consistent and reliable option behind center with the potential to develop into an All-conference level talent. He possesses prototypical size for a Power Four quarterback and shows good footwork and utilizes clean drops while maintaining a good balance in the pocket. He shows the arm talent, strength, and accuracy to throw to all three levels. While not a scrambler, he has enough mobility to extend plays and pick up yards when needed.”
