The Wolverine’s EJ Holland recently made his way to Southlake (Texas) Carroll to meet with three-star 2027 Michigan offensive line commit Tristan Dare.

Dare Recruitment
Michigan extended an offer to Dare in early June and got him on campus a few weeks later for his first unofficial visit.
It didn’t take long for Michigan to seal the deal. The Wolverines landed a commitment from the Lone Star State prospect earlier this month. Dare picked Michigan over offers from Florida State, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Penn State, Stanford and others.
Here is what Holland had to say about Dare.
“Dare is fairly new to the game of football,” Holland said. “In fact, last year was his first year as a full-time offensive lineman. There is a lot to like about Dare’s frame and upside. He should definitely be a guy that rises in the rankings with a strong junior season. Dare spends most of his time playing tackle at the high school level, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see him slide inside at Michigan. He’s a quality early land in the trenches.”
At 6-foot-4, 260 pounds, Dare is ranked as the No. 34 interior offensive lineman and No. 467 overall recruit nationally, per the Rivals Industry Ranking. He is also ranked as the No. 57 overall prospect in the state of Texas for next cycle.
Dare is part of a three-man 2027 recruiting class that also features Top 100 Marion (Mass.) Tabor Academy quarterback Peter Bourque and three-star Saline (Mich.) High offensive lineman Louis Esposito.
