Barcelona board set for meeting with one player ‘to learn about his intentions’

The brass at La Liga champions Barcelona are readying a round of talks with a member of the club’s midfield ranks over the days ahead.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Marc Casadó as the player in question.

Youngster Casadó has of course seen his name emerge as an altogether prominent one in the media headlines in Catalunya’s capital over the last couple of weeks.

This comes amid the understanding that, amid mounting interest in his signature from across the continent, the 21-year-old’s future has been thrown somewhat up in the air.

Whilst Casadó remains held in high regard by boss Hansi Flick, the Spanish international could find game time tough to come by this season.

With the possibility on the table of securing a big-money fee for something of a fringe player, Barcelona could therefore open the door to a sale ahead of the transfer deadline.

And as alluded to above, with as much in mind, Deco and co. have pencilled in an imminent meeting with Casadó.

As per a report from Sport:

‘The club plans to speak with the player in the coming days and learn first-hand about his intentions.’
