On Monday, Blue Jays manager John Schneider announced significant roster news about the pitching staff, which has still managed to deliver wins despite all four of their top starters posting ERAs of 3.80 or higher. This will be his debut start as a member of the Blue Jays and it will come against the Miami Marlins on the road.

That said, they're set to welcome back former Cleveland Guardians ace Shane Bieber this week, who will make his return to the mound on Friday after rehabbing from Tommy John Surgery, which he underwent back in April 2024.
This will be his debut start as a member of the Blue Jays and it will come against the Miami Marlins on the road.

Shane Bieber has had a tremendous career in Cleveland, where he spent his first seven MLB seasons. Now, he joins a Toronto team hungry to make noise in the postseason — and with their rotation, they certainly have the talent to do so.
The Blue Jays’ five-man rotation will likely feature Kevin Gausman, JosĂ© BerrĂos, Chris Bassitt, Max Scherzer, and Bieber, who has compiled a 62-32 career record with a 3.22 ERA, 17.8 WAR, and 1.115 WHIP.
