Just over a month since originally committing to South Carolina over Tennessee, four-star offensive tackle Kamari Blair has flipped from the Gamecocks to the Volunteers.
The Clarksville (Tenn.) Kirkwood standout announced his commitment to Tennessee via On3 | Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett on Thursday morning.
The 6-foot-6, 280-pounder is rated by the Rivals Industry Ranking as the No. 274 overall prospect in the country and the No. 22 offensive tackle in the 2026 class.
“I’m about as excited as I could be,” Blair told VolQuest. “It’s been a fight between both schools for most of my recruitment now. I just think in the end I had to do what I had to do. I’m excited to play and get on campus.
“Distance was a big recurring thing. Distance and being in my home state just keep feeling more like home.”
Ole Miss was the other finalist when Blair originally chose the Gamecocks.
While South Carolina loses a four-star offensive lineman from its commit list in Blair, the Gamecocks are hoping to add a Blue Chip pledge on Friday.
Richmond (Va.) St. Christopher’s five-star IOL Darius Gray will announce his decision at 7 p.m. on Friday, and South Carolina is a finalist.
