It’s been a tumultuous offseason for Cleveland Browns rookie wide receiver and former Texas Longhorns standout Isaiah Bond.
Bond went undrafted after being arrested on a sexual assault charge just two weeks before the NFL Draft, despite maintaining that the allegations were false. He later turned himself in and posted $25,000 bail following the arrest.
Fast forward to late last week, and Bond was “no-billed” by the grand jury, meaning he faced no charges due to insufficient evidence.
With the NFL season on the horizon, Bond quickly found a landing spot, signing a three-year contract worth just over $3 million with the Cleveland Browns on Monday.

Isaiah Bond's Agent Speaks Out
"Congrats to my client Isaiah Bond for signing an unprecedented three-year fully guaranteed contract with the Cleveland Browns,"Bond's agent Damien S. Butler wrote.
"The long journey to this deal highlights why I establish REAL relationships with my clients, not just transactional connections. No other agency could’ve successfully navigated this process the way @CMV_Sports has. Congrats to my whole team…. We may not be the biggest, but we are certainly the best!"
After celebrating his client’s achievement in turning his NFL dreams into reality, Butler also directed a message to Browns general manager Andrew Berry.
"I have to publicly thank @Browns GM Andrew Berry for his diligence and hard work in getting this deal done for @isaiahbond_. Although he definitely wanted the talent on the roster, he made sure that, in the end, this was a move that the fans would respect. You’ve got a tremendous leader of the franchise #DawgPound."

While Bond will certainly need to earn his stripes in Cleveland at the wide receiver position, he has a phenomenal opportunity in a room that is still largely wide open for someone to emerge.
Currently, the Browns’ top wideout is set to be Jerry Jeudy, who burst onto the scene last year. Cedric Tillman, Jamari Thrash, and Diontae Johnson are also in the mix, all of whom still have a lot to prove if they want to see consistent action week in and week out. Bond will fall into that same category as he works to carve out his role.

Bond spent two seasons with the Alabama Crimson Tide before transferring to Texas last season, where he recorded 34 receptions for 540 yards and five touchdowns.
