Jets make decision on trading Breece Hall originally appeared on The Sporting News
When Aaron Glenn took over the New York Jets, it was clear he had a lot of thoughts about his running back room.
The new head coach included an RB group that is led by Breece Hall but also includes Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis.
Early in the offseason, Glenn made comments that suggested he wanted Allen and Davis to get more work. That would, by default, come at the expense of Hall.
And that made Hall a popular name in trade speculation.

Glenn spent part of his Wednesday press conference putting such rumors to bed.
Here's what Glenn told reporters on the topic of his running backs:
“We have like three good running backs, and I keep saying that. Listen, they all have different skill sets that we’re gonna utilize. And that does not mean that I’m trading Breece. OK? Does not. So, I’m gonna say that right now. I just like having three good guys. Hell, I wish I had more. But we don’t.”
Glenn's comments don't necessarily raise confidence that Hall will be the unquestioned top dog in this backfield, though.

Allen has impressed all summer, and he's a different kind of back, a bigger and stronger physique than the speedy, shifty Hall.
Davis might have to wait his turn, but it wouldn't be shocking to see Allen mixed in a lot for Hall.
This also won't totally stop the trade ideas. Hall is entering the last season of his contract, and so a trade wouldn't be outlandish if the right offer comes to the Jets. For now, though, he's staying put.
