According to The Guardian, there is confidence that Chelsea can agree a deal that will see incomings now advance this window.

Chelsea need player sales to be able to get the rest of their new signings completed this summer transfer window as we head towards the final crucial week.

Sources: Chelsea now expecting permanent offers in for Christopher Nkunku

The window closes at the end of this month, and there is still much to do and get done at Stamford Bridge this week and next week.

Striker Nicolas Jackson is a player who looks almost certain to be leaving still this month and it is Aston Villa who have emerged as the front runners to be signing him now before the end of the window.

Renato Veiga also looks set to be heading off somewhere this window and Serie A looks a genuine possibility for him. It is Villarreal who are pushing hard to sign him right now.

So there is loads going on at Chelsea and those who deal with negotiations, sales, and everything else in between at Stamford Bridge are about to get very busy in these next couple of weeks without a doubt.

As I said, they need sales. And one sale they need is Christopher Nkunku. This will help Chelsea then move for Xavi Simons and Alejandro Garnacho, just as an example.

The Guardian’s report says Nkunku is open to a reunion with his former club, although other options are on the table. A deal with Leipzig is not close but there is confidence that they will be able to come to an agreement with Chelsea on a fee for the France international.

Nkunku out, Simons in?

The report also says Leipzig have already held talks over Chelsea adding Simons to their attacking ranks. Chelsea are yet to lodge a bid for the Netherlands international, who wants to move to Stamford Bridge, and hope to move out fringe players before making further additions.
