After spending 20 years with the New England Patriots and his final three years in the NFL with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tom Brady has since retired and moved on to a different role: being a minority team owner for a franchise.
Brady became a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders after his purchase of a minority stake in the team was approved back in October 2024. According to a report by the Bucs, Brady took approximately a 5% stake in the franchise.
Now, amid his busy schedule handling his various businesses and commitments, Brady is in full owner mode.
On Saturday, the seven-time Super Bowl champion even made an appearance for the Raiders' preseason game against the San Francisco 49ers. As he arrived at Allegiant Stadium, however, what stood out was his look.
Brady entered the stadium wearing a black-and-white Raiders varsity jacket, which grabbed attention for a variety of reasons. Many still can't believe that he's now with the Raiders, considering his iconic careers with the Patriots and Buccaneers.
Furthermore, Brady used to dominate the Raiders during his time playing in the NFL. TB12 is 5-1 against the franchise throughout his career.
"That just doesn’t look right," a commenter wrote. Another one echoed a similar sentiment, writing, "So weird seeing Brady wear Raiders apparel….. I know he’s a part owner now just saying it feels weird."
"This don't look right," a fan added.
A supporter shared, "Raiders Owner since 2002."
"The fact that Brady's legacy started against the Raiders, and now he's owning it makes him even more the goat hahah," a follower remarked.
A sixth social media user stated, "That jacket is tuff fr."
Brady Has Some NFL Restrictions Because of His Raiders Ownership
Brady's ownership of the Raiders comes with plenty of challenges. For one, the NFL placed restrictions on his broadcasting work because of his stake in the Las Vegas team, as he is "not permitted to attend in-person or online broadcast production meetings and may not have access to team facilities, players or coaches."
Regardless, Brady seems to be enjoying his Raiders ownership and making the most of it.
