Georgia RB displays impressive physique transformation

The Georgia Bulldogs are looking to get a lot more production out of their running game in 2025 and redshirt sophomore Roderick Robinson could help

Georgia Bulldogs running back Roderick Robinson appears to have made the most of time in Georgia's offseason conditioning program. He entered Georgia's fall camp in fantastic shape.

The 6-foot-1, 235-pound running back has always had an impressive combination of size and strength. The big question for Robinson is will he be able to stay healthy.

The redshirt sophomore appeared in only two games during the 2024 college football season after amassing 193 rushing yards and two touchdowns during a promising freshman season in 2023. A turf toe injury forced Robinson to miss Georgia's first 11 games in 2024. He returned against Georgia and played against Texas in the SEC championship. However, Robinson suffered a broken ankle after appearing in limited action (four carries for three yards) in 2024.

The powerful running back missed spring practice, but has returned to full contact in practice. He appears to have added both size and strength to his frame.

Robinson is expected to compete with Illinois transfer Josh McCray, redshirt freshman Chauncey Bowers, sophomore Dwight Phillips and three-star freshman Bo Walker for snaps in rushing situations when sophomore Nate Frazier needs a break. Senior Cash Jones is expected to be Georgia's top receiving back.

Robinson and Georgia are looking to getting back to dominating in the run game in 2025. The Bulldogs were outrushed several times last season and finished second-to-last in the SEC in rushing yards per game. A healthy Roderick Robinson would go a long way for the Georgia rushing attack.
