The newest Padre is not in the lineup for Monday night's matchup against the Giants, and fans are not happy.

In a dramatic turn of events, San Diego Padres manager Mike Shildt does not have designated hitter Ryan O' Hearn penned into his lineup for the Padres Monday night battle against the San Francisco Giants, leaving fans angered and confused.
To make matters more confusing, the Padres lineup will be facing left-handed pitcher Robbie Ray, and O'Hearn has excelled hitting against southpaws this year, both in San Diego and in Baltimore with the Orioles.
But alas, Shildt's lineup has Manny Machado as the designated hitter, not O'Hearn.
Why Is O'Hearn On the Bench?
Your guess is as good as ours in this situation, but when you look at O'Hearn's overall stats with the Padres in the 13 games since he's joined, which reads a .182 average with a homer and five RBI, it might be a little understanding to see why the Padres skipper might be a little hesitant to put the DH in the order.
But O'Hearn was the starting designated hitter for the American League in this year's All-Star Game while he was with the Orioles, and even the biggest stars are going to go through slumps in their career. Even every one of Babe Ruth's strikeouts brought him closer to his next home run.
The same could be said for O'Hearn, if Shildt can keep giving him the chance.
